On our Three Hour Mountain and Ranch Tour we'll take a scenic ride through tropical rain forests, river valleys, rolling pastures. The ranch is home to many fascinating animals. Among them are Hereford, Angus, and Brangus cattle as well as wild pigs, Nene geese, pheasants and much more! Learn history and interesting facts about the ranch from our very knowledgeable tour guides. They know this ranch well and the island even better. A 3,000 acre property, Kipu Ranch extends from the Huleia River to the top of Mount Haupu. As aforementioned it is home to a vast amount of wildlife. It is also the home of many film sets. The ranch has been transformed through the years. It was once a great sugar plantation and now is a working cattle ranch. This tour is truly a one of a kind opportunity as it is a private ranch. You'll get the unique access that only our tour provides. You have the option of riding through this land on your own personal ATV or riding in a more comfortable vehicle with several other passengers. ATV: The new Honda RANCHER 400 is our choice for the best ATV available for this kind of terrain and tour. The powerful 400cc engine gets you up the steep mountain trails and the fully automatic transmission makes it easy to operate. The ATV also has push-button on/off select 4-wheel drive for the slippery spots on our tours. The lower ground clearance wide wheelbase makes this machine very stable. You MUST be at least 16 years old to operate an ATV. Participants between the ages of 16 & 18 will need a parent/guardian's signature and you must have a valid picture ID for proof of age. We do check for ID and make no exceptions.
Rhino: The 660 cc Yamaha Rhino is the most comfortable ride we have. A favorite for riding double, this 2 passenger side-by-side seating ATV is awesome. Fully automatic transmission lets this all-ATV machine drive like a car; features bucket seats & a steering wheel, making this simpler & safer than a regular ATV. Drivers MUST be over 21 & related to underage passengers, must have a valid picture ID for proof of age. We do check for ID and make no exceptions.
Rhino Safari: The 660 cc Yamaha Rhino is the most comfortable ride we have. A favorite for riding families, this 4 passenger ATV is awesome. Fully automatic transmission lets this all-ATV machine drive like a car; features bucket seats & a steering wheel, making this simpler & safer than a regular ATV. Drivers MUST be over 21 & related to underage passengers. Backseat passengers MUST not exceed 200 lbs. Driver must have a valid picture ID for proof of age. We do check for ID and make no exceptions.
Bomber: Our newest ATV, the Bombardier Outlander MAX is the premiere 2 person ATV. Great for couples, this machine features very comfortable independent suspension, is fully automatic with on/off selection 4-wheel drive. Passenger enjoys an elevated rear seat with backrest and independent handhold. Both driver & passenger MUST be at least 18 years of age on this vehicle.
Mule: Our guide-driven 4 passenger Kawasaki Mule is great for the kids or anyone who would rather watch the scenery than the road. The Mule is still an ATV, so you may get bounced around a little, and a bit dirty (sometimes a lot dirty), so you will still need to wear a helmet.
Note: Drivers MUST be at least 16 years of age to operate ATV. ID is mandatory for all drivers. 5 year olds must be accompanied by a paying adult on any vehicle. Children under the age of five are not permitted to participate in this tour. Sorry, we do not allow pregnant women, those with a history of back/knee problems or any serious health conditions. Covered toed shoes are mandatory. Long pants are recommended, although optional. Please bring sunscreen & bug repellent for your comfort.
