For the thrill-seekers! Cage Free Shark divers will travel 15 Minutes three miles off of the North Shore of Oahu to find Hawaiiʼs famous Manō (shark). Surrounded by clear blue abyss, guests will have the opportunity to swim alongside this prehistoric pelagic predator, with the guidance of a trained safety diver. The crew will provide guests with information on shark biology and behavior, as well as safety guidelines for snorkeling and free diving. The most common resident shark species include Galapagos, Sandbar, and Tiger sharks. However, being in a pelagic (deep-water) zone allows the possibility of seeing a variety of other pelagic predators, such as tuna, mahi mahi, barracuda, and oceanic dolphins. During the winter months, guests are often treated to the underwater symphonies of whale song from nearby pods of Pacific Northwest humpbacks. Snorkel/dive gear and water is provided.
Our Open Water Shark tour offers a truly personal experience by keeping the group size small, with a maximum of six guests. This intimate setup means our crew can focus more on each guest, making sure everyone feels comfortable, informed, and safe. Smaller groups also allow us to adapt to individual preferences, whether that’s spending a bit more time with the sharks, adjusting for different comfort levels, or providing extra attention to questions and curiosities. This way, every tour feels customized, ensuring you leave with an unforgettable experience that’s as unique as the island waters we explore.

Professional Underwater Photography: We offer a professional photography package for our shark divers, capturing each moment of the experience from start to finish. For $75 per diver, guests receive high-quality images that tell the story of their dive, professionally edited and delivered digitally within seven days. Our photographer’s expertise ensures that each photo showcases the thrill, the beauty of the ocean, and the unique interactions with the sharks. It’s an effortless way to take home the memories, letting you stay fully present in the moment, while we handle the storytelling through the lens. Please call ahead of time to ensure a photographer will be aboard your tour if you are waiting till the day of to decide.

All guests are required to check-in with the captain, at the boat, 30 minutes prior to departure. Late guests cannot be accommodated as each charter operates on a strict schedule in order to maximize guest experience and time paid for.
what_to_bring: Please make sure to bring a towel and sun protection. Diving gear including mask/snorkel, wetsuit top and fins are PROVIDED any other free-diving gear you would need on the dive. Go pros action cameras and other personal cameras are allowed.
