Arrive at Makapuʻu Lookout, where we’ll begin our hike. We’ll take the paved road up (about 45 minutes) to a secret location. The entrance point to the trail is close to the top, where we’ll start our descent (about 45 minutes) to the tide pools.

4. Tide Pools Exploration

Enjoy a refreshing dip and snorkeling in the tide pools. This steep and rocky descent requires sturdy shoes and water shoes are recommended. A snorkeling mask is ideal for observing the marine life. The return hike up will take approximately 30-45 minutes.
