We’ll gather at the farm and start with a fun and brief introduction to learn about bees and honey.
Then, we’ll suit up and walk a short distance to the beehives to see the bees in action! We’ll do our best to point out the queen in a hive, see a bee birth, collect fresh bee pollen and let you hold a frame of raw honeycomb!
After we’re finished at the hives we will sample Hi Honey Farm’s raw and infused honey varieties. (Dependent on availability and season)
Guided tour of the apiary with a professional beekeeper. Use of protective bee suits and veils. Educational sessions about bees and beekeeping practices. Honey extraction demonstration. Honey tasting of various local honeys. Light refreshments during the tasting.
