Discover Oahu’s Secret Turtle Spots on Our Island Tour

Tour Itinerary

Hotel Pick Up
Our shuttle will arrive between 7:20 am – 8:00 am (depending on your hotel location) with a local guide to help you prepare for a day of adventure.
Diamond Head Lookout
Our first stop is the Amelia Earhart Lookout, an elevated view perched on the eastern side of Waikiki's famous Diamond Head Volcano. Enjoy stunning views of the southeastern coastline of Oahu, including Hanauma Bay and Maui on a clear day. This location is known for where bystanders gathered to watch Earhart make her first solo aviation journey from Hawaii to North America.
Halona Blowhole
Next up is the Halona Blowhole, a natural occurrence formed by molten lava tubes from volcanic eruptions that occurred from Oahu’s Koko Head crater. This lava tube extends into the ocean with a very narrow opening at the top, and when the surf is just right, water pressure builds up within the lava tube and erupts through the narrow opening creating a special Hawaiian geyser for your viewing pleasure.
Makapuu Point
As we turn into Oahu’s windward side, witness Waimanalo’s dramatic sea cliffs and take in the azure blue waters of the bay. Look out for Oahu’s famous Manana Island, also known as Rabbit Island due to its rabbit-like shape.
Hawaiian Coffee and Macadamia Nut Tastings
After a beautiful drive along Oahu’s eastern coastline, our next stop is a local shop tucked away under aged Banyan Trees. Taste some delicious Kona coffee and macadamia nuts, along with very tempting Hawaiian chocolates and other treats.
Chinaman’s Hat and Kualoa Valley Mountain Range
Chinaman’s Hat, also known as Mokolii, is nestled right next to the Kualoa Valley Mountain range. This location is known for its dramatic landscape filmed in a number of Hollywood movies, most notably and fan favorite Jurassic Park. The island has earned the nickname Chinaman’s Hat from its resemblance to the straw hats that the Chinese immigrants wore when working Oahu’s sugar plantations during the early 1900s.
North Shore Shrimp at Fumi’s Kahuku Shrimp
Sit down on the North Shore and have a delicious shrimp plate at Fumi’s Kahuku Shrimp! They have six different shrimp plates to eat, including the mouth-watering Spicy Garlic Shrimp and the Classic Butter Garlic Shrimp. Fumi’s also has Chicken Katsu if spicy shrimp isn’t your favorite, and veggie noodles are available as the vegetarian option. All lunch plates come with a side of rice and a slice of pineapple. Bathrooms and handwashing are accommodated as well. Please bring cash as this is the only “cash only” stop on the tour.
Tropical Fruit Stands
After lunch, we make a stop at North Shore tropical fruit stands, which offer ice-cold coconuts to drink from, fresh mangos, and other tropical treats.
North Shore Sunset Beach
The famous Sunset Beach on the North Shore offers tranquility and is the epitome of a beautiful Hawaiian beach. During the winter months, swells of 30 to 40 feet can be seen from the safe confines of shore.
Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles and Snorkeling at Turtle Beach
Turtle Beach is the perfect place to spot Green Sea Turtles or "Honu" in Hawaiian. These native animals love basking under the warm sun on the golden sand. During the 60 to 90 minutes at the beach, a certified lifeguard will be on duty to ensure your safety. We also provide snorkeling gear, which is included in the tour price, so guests can swim and snorkel alongside the turtles. It's important to note that touching, petting, feeding, teasing, or harassing the turtles is prohibited, and we must keep a distance of 10 feet to ensure their comfort. Changing rooms, showers, and sunscreen are available at the beach.
Dole Pineapple Plantation
The Dole Pineapple Plantation is a historic site where you can find a wide range of pineapple-themed souvenirs such as magnets, t-shirts, and keychains. However, the highlight of the visit is undoubtedly the delicious pineapple ice cream, also known as Dole Whip.
Waikiki Return
The tour will end with a return to Waikiki, around 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm, depending on traffic.
